Didier, a farmer who was born deaf, has just lost Claude, his eldest brother. Now alone in his isolated house in the foothills of the Cantal mountains, he has to find his own way without recourse to his brother. In the depths of these mountains, which he cannot give up, Didier has to overcome his fear of the unknown and build relationships with the other inhabitants of the hamlet. The film follows Didier's routine, guided by a new challenge: finding his new place. He has to reinvent his language and his exchanges, and turn his disability into a strength.
