Fulvio Bernasconi grew up in the Ticino as a son of emigrants from Italy. Always having to deal with a constant cleavage of his identity, he, especially at football games between Italy and Switzerland is torn apart. The swiss national soccer team has players with an Italian family background, as for example David Sesa. Fulvio accompanies David's father to Italy to watch a game of David against the Italian national soccer team. In intertwined discussions with his grandfather about his family history, Fulvio comes to the following conclusion: Is he now Italian or Swiss? Or to put it in another way: in which net does he want to see the ball lie?
