Four films, like the four walls of a house. They don’t necessarily add up to one. Theater. On ne badine pas avec l’amour (love is a serious business) in Sarajevo. The film of untranquillity. For ever Mozart. The only thing these films have in common is the director, the “author of the exploits”, or should one say “the exploited one”. War – the theater of operations – chases the theater. And the cinema chases the war. In one as in the other, the actors are expedient and so must redeem themselves… That leaves the music. But you have to know how to turn the page of the score – of life. And to keep time.
