Alphons is on the way to his suicide when hitch-hiker Marla forces him to stop and insists on him giving her a lift. As she discovers why he wants to kill himself a curious companionship develops.

Alphons è al volante con l’intenzione di suicidarsi ma viene fermato da un’autostoppista. La donna, in fuga da una noiosa vita di madre di famiglia, insiste perché le dia un passaggio.
