Martha has little interest in men and children – she devotes her body and soul to a delightful French restaurant, where she is the head chef. The unexpected death of her sister Christin leaves her with a heavy burden: Lilli, Christin's 8-year old daughter, who won't eat due to her grief and will have nothing to do with Martha. And then a second cook – who knows about more than just cooking – appears in Martha's kitchen.
