In 1967 students in Zurich filmed the young department store saleswomen, Angela and Lea. The two women had dreams of marriage, home and children, and being well taken cared of by absent husbands. Their actual lives turned out to be quite different. They did get married, but instead of a fulfilled married life they had to deal with crises, experiments with drugs, divorces and occupational matters. Today the young Migros employee, Jacqueline, dreams not only of having a small family but also of career advancement, equal opportunity and travel. Although life plans have not completely changed, general changes in the role of women have had an impact on the self-image of saleswomen.
