In 1959 Edith Freidig purchases an 8mm camera and records her daily life, alpine nature and her travels. Most of all, however, she films her favourite motif: her husband Werner, while farming. While Swiss agriculture is progressively motorizing around them, the Freidigs decide to cultivate their land using scythes, rakes and their bare hands.
