An armchair, photos, dolls and many, many books fill my grandparents' apartment. Forty-five years of history, their past and experiences, a mirror to their personalities. Now they are gone – one passed away, the other in a nursing home – and their possessions must be cleared from the apartment. Everything must go, life removed in garbage bags. In the end only emptiness, a space for something new.
