After the death of her father, the filmmaker travels to Pompeii, the rediscovered city of ghosts, destroyed by nearby Vesuvius. Searching for what is left, her stay becomes more and more an inner journey. Longing for the world of memories, it is the present that catches up with her. Bracing encounters with the living ones of the city remind her that life goes on. Inside the ruins is a collage of fragments and stories, trembling, sensitive, direct.
