While still in intensive care, the patient allows his newly repaired heart to persuade him to tackle a film on the subject of creation. Seven people open their doors and show him the worlds they have created, sharing with us their knowledge of the creative process and the business of life in general. But the filmmaker soon finds himself in over his head, his own work threatening to engulf him.
