On the morning of April 1, 1944, a squadron of Allied bombers flew over the Swiss border. With scarce fuel reserves for the return flight and a lack of experience, they unloaded their bomb load over the next visible target of opportunity. Tragically, forty people were killed in Schaffhausen as a result. This documentary recounts the events surrounding that fateful day.
La mattina del 1° aprile 1944, una squadriglia di bombardieri alleati sorvola il confine svizzero. Con le scarse riserve di carburante per il volo di ritorno e la mancanza di esperienza, scaricarono il loro carico di bombe sul prossimo obiettivo visibile. Tragicamente, 40 persone sono rimaste uccise a Sciaffusa. Questo documentario racconta gli eventi di quel giorno fatale.
