The high mountain region is at once a getaway spot and home for four generations of mountaineers. The raw wilderness at such altitudes forms a contrast to their philosophical discussions. The four mountain guides discover routes, crystals and their personal limits, but not all the answers to their questions concerning risk, freedom and their place in the valley.
