A portrait of the Basel Chamber Orchestra, which became one of the most popular orchestras in Europe within just a few years. The film’s centrepiece is Béla Bartók’s “Divertimento,” which was composed in 1939 in Switzerland and ranks as the most enthralling pieces ever written for string orchestras.
