A cripple, strapped to his motorised cart, drives about a desolate landscape. He encounters a flock of strange birds flying overhead followed by strange beasts walking and running about which brings on a feeling of jealousy. He manages to catch and eat some passing dog shaped balloon cratures which enable him to quit mobile prison and float away.
