The village policewoman Nico Halter, who is addicted to pills, does not have a good relationship with the Christmas season. That's why she usually spends it in India, far from her home. However, Nico's travel plans for this year are thwarted by a death at the Christmas market. The event forces her to confront her personal trauma.
Nico Halter, poliziotta di un villaggio con qualche problema di droga, non ha un buon rapporto con il periodo natalizio. Per questo motivo di solito trascorre le feste lontano da casa, in India. Tuttavia, quest'anno i suoi piani di viaggio vengono vanificati da una morte al mercatino di Natale, che la costringe ad affrontare il suo trauma personale. Omicidi in un ambiente natalizio, un partner insolito e i sintomi d'astinenza accompagnano quindi Nico nella ricerca del segreto del suo passato.
