Tired of freelancing, Kai-Benjamin wants to find a permanent job in a theatre. But times are hard for a young actor. Every passerby becomes a fellow player, every advertising poster a benchmark. The stage is everywhere; it is only the audience that constantly changes. His friend Lukas films this journey to the theatre in Cologne, where the pain threshold between reality and fiction soon resurfaces.
