Sidi Bouzid, a bitterly poor region in Tunisia, it celebrates and does not collapse in hopelessness. The populace is stronger than ever before. In the middle of an endless, dry and desolate landscape, theatre professionals with little means provide residents with acting skills; lawyers are engaging in the quest for more action in the political arena; older people are hunger striking. They are all beacons of hope. Their testimonies are mostly melancholy but also dynamic, they tell not only of deeds of glorious forefathers but also of the present-day reality and present life.
