Auf einer Hausparty sitzt Max regungslos auf dem Sofa und hat nur eines im Kopf: seine erste Trennung. Als dann seine Ex-Freundin Emily auftaucht, geraten sie rasch in einen Streit und der Abend fängt wieder von vorne an. Max sieht dies als eine Chance seine Fehler rückgängig zu machen und seinem Leid ein Ende zu setzen. Doch immer wieder fängt alles wieder von Neuem an und er verliert sich in einer ziellosen Mission.
