Cassius, ein zermürbter hispanischer Protagonist des modernen Lebens, bestreitet seinen Lebensunterhalt als Müllmann in der Bronx. Als er eines nachts entlassen wird, sieht er sich als Obdachloser und Ausgestossener enden. Auf sich allein gestellt, bereitet er seinen Abgang vor, doch eine Sicherung setzt ihn unerwartet ausser Gefecht und lässt ihn auf der Suche nach seiner Wahrheit durch die Nacht irren.
