Born in 1977 in Bern, Switzerland. Milo Rau is a director, writer and since the 2018/19 season artistic director of NTGent in Belgium. Since 2002 he has published over fifty plays, films and books. He was awarded several honorary doctorates and won among others the European Theatre Prize and the prize of the International Theatre Insitute (ITI). He is also known for his documentary films THE MOSCOW TRIALS (2014) and THE CONGO TRIBUNAL (2017). Swiss Film Award 2021, Best Documentary for THE NEW GOSPEL (2020).
