Alexandra Simpson

Editor, Director, Sound Editor, Screenwriter, Sound Designer

Born in 1997 in Paris, France. She is a half French-half American filmmaker. She studied literature, followed by History and Theory of Cinema at the Sorbonne University. She edited Sarah Imsand's short films, including LE CHANT DE L'OISEAU (2019), which was part of the official selection at Cannes. In 2020 she graduated with a Bachelor in Cinema, specialisation editing, from HEAD-Genève (Geneva University of Art and Design). She is a member of the thriving American collective Omnes Films, who premiered two of their feature films at the 2024 Director's Fortnight in Cannes, and a cofounder of emerging Swiss collective ROC Films. She also works as an editor for short and feature-length films. NO SLEEP TILL (2024) is her first feature-length film.
