Swiss documentary filmmaker known for his work in some of the world’s most remote and challenging environments. Began his career in 1985, reporting from conflict zones such as Afghanistan. His first long-form documentary, REBELS OF THE FORGOTTEN WORLD (1989), explored the Papuan independence struggle against Indonesia. Claudio's investigative journalism has earned numerous accolades: SADDAM'S SECRET TIME BOMB received a Rory Peck Award commendation (1998); SURVIVING SUDAN was nominated for an Emmy (2006); LIVING WITH AIDS won the One World Media Award (2006); and SPELL OF THE ALBINO won the One World Media Award for Children’s Rights (2012) and was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award.
