Marta Mateus
Director, Screenwriter, Producer, Editor, Cinematographer
Born in 1984 in Estremoz, Portugal. Portuguese citizenship. She studied philosophy at Nova University Lisbon, drawing and photography at Ar.Co, music and theatre. Master in Multimedia Art from FBAUL (Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon). Her short film BARBS WASTELANDS (2017) was awarded at several festivals. She lives and works between Lisbon and the Alentejo. Her feature-length FIRE OF WIND (2024) premieres in Locarno's competition.
