Carlos Marqués-Marcet
Director, Screenwriter
He is a director, screenwriter, and editor from Barcelona (Spain). He graduated in 2006 from UCLA’s School of Film and TV. In 2008 he attend a master in Film Direction at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His debut feature 10,000 KM (2014) was awarded the Goya Award for Best New Director, five Gaudí Awards, Special Jury Prize at SXSW, Best Film and Best Director at the Malaga Film Festival, among others. His second film, TIERRA FIRME (2017), also received several awards and nominations, including Gaudí Awards and Feroz Award. In 2019 he released his third feature, LOS DÍAS QUE VENDRÁN. The film premiered at the Tiger Competition in the Rotterdam Film Festival, won Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress at the Malaga Film Festival, was nominated for Best Film and Best Script at the Feroz Awards (Spanish Critic's Association) and won several Gaudí Awards including Best Picture.
