Né en Italie, Alessandro Garbuio obtient son diplôme à l'Institut d'art Ripetta de Rome en 2012. Il suit ensuite des cours d'histoire de l'art, d'anthropologie et d'histoire du cinéma à l'université La Sapienza de Rome. En 2014, il participe en tant qu'assistant réalisateur à la série UNA GRANDE FAMIGLIA produite par la RAI. Entre 2017 et 2019, il réalise des vidéos publicitaires, avant de rejoindre la CISA de 2019 à 2021, puis le cours de spécialisation SPD en réalisation de 2021 à 2022.
Born in Ivrea, Italy. Assandro Garbuio graduated in 2012 from the Ripetta Art Institute in Rome. He then attended some courses in art history, anthropology and film history at La Sapienza University in Rome. In 2014 he participates with the role of assistant director at the series UNA GRANDE FAMIGLIA, produced by RAI. He is then selected in the propaedeutic course In Directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome for the duration of five months. 2019-21 He attends the Biennial Training Course at the CISA (International Conservatory of Audiovisual Sciences), in Locarno. 2021-22 SPD Specialization Course in Directing, where he has the opportunity to attend workshops with directors and cinematographers, including Massimo D'Anolfi, Luca Bigazzi, Lech Kowalski, Rolando Colla, Alina Marazzi, Michelangelo Frammartino and Laura Bispuri. ADRIA is his post-diploma work, in which he investigates his hometown, Ivrea, wondering what was left after the utopian dream there long ago, that of Olivetti.
