In einer Regennacht rettet Professor Enzo Stefanelli zufällig einem jungen Mafia Killer das Leben. Als Dank verspricht der Killer einen Feind des Professors zu töten. Gegen den Willen des Professors macht er sich auf die Suche nach einem potentiellen Feind in seinem Umfeld und bringt das bisher geordnete Leben des Professors durcheinander. Nach anfänglicher Skepsis beschliesst Enzo, seine Augen gegenüber seinem Leben und den Menschen, die ihn umgeben, zu öffnen...
Una notte di pioggia il professore Enzo Stefanelli salva la vita a un giovane ferito da un'arma da fuoco. In cambio l'uomo colpito, un killer di professione, gli promette di trovare e uccidere un suo nemico, chiunque esso sia. Anche se Enzo insiste nell'affermare di non avere un nemico, il giovane si mette a cercarne uno, creando il caos nella vita del professore. Dapprima scettico, finalmente Enzo apre gli occhi sulla sua vita e sulle persone che lo circondano…
