Justine Knuchel

Born in 1997 in Paradiso, Switzerland. She has both Swiss and Italian nationalities. After having studied two years of photography at ECAL (École Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne) and two years at HEAD (Haute école d'art et de design - Geneva) as film editor, she is a primarily self-taught director, editor and photographer. In 2019 she founded her art direction studio FONDAMENTA and actively work for the Base Camp, a former military camp turned into a creative hub during the Locarno Film Festival. In 2021 she shot, via photogrammetry, fifty-three video-presentation of fifty-three Swiss artists' ateliers, the work as been displayed at the MCBA.
