Born in Fort Sill, USA. She graduated with a Bachelor in Theatre from UT (University of Texas) in Austin and studied film at NYU (New York University). She was accepted into the renowned Actors Studio (Playwright/ Directors Unit) in New York. Her first feature-length film LITTLE NOISES (1991) premiered in Sundance's main competition. She lives in Zurich since 2001, where she wrote and directed three more author films: FACES ON MARS (2003) premiered at Solothurn, THE NINTH CLOUD (2015) selected at the film festivals Raindance London, Glasgow, and Shanghai, and SOUTH OF HOPE STREET (2024). She received an award “In Recognition of 'Auteur and Poetic Filmmaking', Producers Without Borders” at the 2023 Venice Film Festival.
