Spot the Composer

In support of Switzerland, Country of Honour, SONART has selected two Swiss composers to join the roster of this year’s Spot the Composer program:

Christine Aufderhaar
Christine currently lives in Berlin, where she wrote over the course of more than 20 years the music for over 50 films, including recently Aurora’s Sunrise by Inna Sahakyan, which won 15 international awards. She was honored with several awards and scholarships in Switzerland, Germany and USA. Her concert music has been performed in the USA as well as in Europe, recently at the Berlin Philharmonie. 

Balz Bachmann
Balz Bachmann is a composer, producer and musician who has been composing for international feature films, documentaries, theater, art and television for over 20 years. He has written film music for renowned directors such as Jasmila Žbanić, Dani Levy and Oscar-winner Xavier Koller. He lives and works in Zurich.

This program is a cooperation with the SONART and Fondation SUISA.
