Firenze: Festival dei Popoli

Switzerland invites Europe. This year, Lucerne is host to the European Film Awards. Throughout the year, SWISS FILMS, in collaboration with Film Festivals in Europe will propose a focus on Swiss Films that have been nominated and/or a winner of the European Film Award. 

Festival dei Popoli in Firenze will present TAMING THE GARDEN by Salomé Jashi, who was nominated for Best European Documentary in 2021. Besides that documentary, the Festival will also screen the Italian/French/Belgian/Swiss Co-Production INTERDIT AUX CHIENS ET AUX ITALIENS by Alain Ughetto, Winner of the Best European Animated Feature Film in 2022.

Parallel to the screenings, the Festival will dedicate a special Industry Day (November 6) to reinforce the collaboration between Italy and Switzerland, bringing together producers from both countries to exchange on their practice and with the opportunity to pitch their latest projects.
