Être un Kurde, c’est dur. Être un réalisateur kurde, c’est la poisse. Être un réalisateur kurde réfugié, c’est cruel. J’ai vécu deux ans dans un camp de réfugiés avec toutes sortes de gens. J’y ai tourné presque tout ce film, en travaillant avec une caméra Hi-8 et en la pilotant à distance.
