L’été tire sur sa fin, et par une tiède journée, Neele et Michael font une excursion en bateau. Des petits désaccords qui les opposent font alors entrevoir un abîme insoupçonné. Michael disparaît sans laisser de traces, et la nuit tombée, l’idylle du lac se transforme en un labyrinthe bizarre virant au cauchemar.
