Depuis plusieurs jours, une pluie intense frappe les façades de verres de la mégapole Tokyo. Masahiro est seul dans son bureau. Il appelle sa femme, qui n'est pas très enthousiaste au regard des heures supplémentaires de son mari. Masahiro s'endort en faisant sa paperasse monotone. Il fait un cauchemar menaçant. Quand il se réveille, baigné de sueur, rien ne semble plus être comme avant. Tokyo a atteint une apocalypse aux proportions bibliques.
