L'infirmier Toni aide la suicidaire Maria à s'échapper de la clinique psychiatrique. Son plus grand désir est de pouvoir encore une fois mener une vie tout à fait normale pendant une semaine: liquider quelques trucs, rencontrer des gens, visiter Paris et prendre congé du monde. Toni veut l'accompagner. Leur plan commun: le dimanche suivant, ils se suicideront ensemble… La caméra suit les deux comparses pendant la dernière semaine de leur vie. Une histoire émouvante, profonde, tragi-comique…
