Un éditeur, un réalisateur et un rédacteur de télévision se réunissent pour monter un film à la table de montage: ils documentent le processus dans lequel ils sont engagés. Ce qui commence dans le calme, finit par tourner au vinaigre: les conceptions et les motivations s’opposent et se heurtent. Le processus de montage finit par dégénérer.
