Pendant une croisière, Heidi K. s’est éprise d’un matelot de 30 ans son cadet. A 67 ans, elle vit aujourd’hui avec lui aux Philippines, la patrie de son compagnon. Comme elle supporte mal son bonheur, elle y a fondé une œuvre d’entraide. Son but dans la vie: ne pas devenir une vieille femme frustrée, elle l’a atteint. Un film déclinant toute une gamme de variations sur l’amour et le bonheur.
