Une rivière coule à travers la forêt. Un chemin ombragé mène aux cascades. Sur la berge de la rivière, une touriste fait connaissance avec le capitaine du bateau, la serveuse et un promeneur. Il revient à la mémoire de la touriste ce curieux rêve dont elle ne peut cependant plus modifier le déroulement.
