Alex et son amie Anna ont un problème: Anna est enceinte jusqu’aux yeux et ils ne trouvent pas d’appartement à la mesure de leur bourse. Le seul qui pourrait les aider, serait le père d’Anna, le commandant Reiker, car il possède une maison vide. Mais Reiker a de tout autres problèmes: son bataillon est menacé de disparition par les restrictions budgétaires. Il a un besoin urgent de quelqu’un qui l’aide à sauver sa troupe d’éclopés. Et donc, Alex, qui est inapte au service militaire, et Reiker concluent un pacte qui non seulement va passablement chambouler l’armée suisse, mais va aussi conduire la relation d’Alex et d’Anna au bord du gouffre.
