Le film raconte l’histoire «réelle» de six étudiants en art dramatique qui tentent une expérience inhabituelle peu avant de passer leur diplôme. Dans une ancienne fortification alpine suisse, ils se livrent à des épreuves de courage pour conjurer leurs peurs. Ce qui commence comme une excursion apparemment anodine, se transforme peu à peu en une expérience effrayante où il leur devient impossible de distinguer entre jeu et réalité.
