Born in 1977 in Florence, Italy. Studied at the London Film School and presented his first documentary HIT THE ROAD, NONNA (2011) at Venice Days. His first feature SHORT SKIN (2014) premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2014, where it received a Special Mention and was also nominated for a Crystal Bear in Generation 14plus at the Berlinale 2015. WIth THE GUEST Chiarini attended the Cannes Cinéfondation Résidence and the TorinoFilmLab.
