Yue Ran
Director, Editor, Screenwriter
Born in 1995 in Chongqing, China where she spent her childhood before moving to Japan to study in 2014. 2019 She obtains a BA in English literature, for which she directs her first short film CUPBOARD GIRL, selected at the Orlando Film Festival. She then comes to study at the Catholic University of Milan where she obtains a Master's degree in screenwriting in 2021. She currently lives between Switzerland and Paris. She uses her cultural diversity to explore storytelling through the use of magic realism, a genre she approaches through Asian and Western folklore. LE PASSEUR is her first short film made outside a school.
