Valentina Manzoni

Valentina Manzoni is an Italian-Swiss filmmaker and visual artist, born in 1994. In 2017 she graduated in Video and Performance from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She takes her first steps as a filmmaker under the guidance of Abbas Kiarostami and Béla Tarr, while supporting with production roles the film collective Mass Ornament Films. In 2020 she returned to Milan, her hometown, after a residency at Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV, Cuba. With the support of the City of Milan, she co-founded Genealogies of the Future, a cultural association of artists and curators under 30 dedicated to the production and dissemination of artistic works in dialogue with practices of eco-sustainability.
