Studied Law. 1967 Makes experimental films and videos; as of 1969 conceptual art. 1985 Works as a columnist (Magma, Tempo, Weltwoche, Transatlantik, NZZ Folio, DU Magazin). Since 1979 singer, author and co-producer for Yello. Since 1981 makes music videos (including Trio’s “Da Da Da”; Alphaville’s “Big In Japan”; Gianna Nannini’s “Scandalo”; and 27 music videos for Yello). Composes music and soundtracks for numerous fiction films (including “Ferris Buller’s Day Off” in 1986; “The Secret Of My Success” in 1987; “The Santa Clause” in 1995).
