Alexe Poukine

Director

Born in 1982 in Belgium. She is a director and screenwriter. After attending drama classes, she studied ethnology, documentary filmmaking and scriptwriting. PETITES MORTS (2008), her graduation film, was selected in several international festivals. Her first feature-length documentary film, DORMIR, DORMIR DANS LES PIERRES, (2013) screened in numerous festivals. Her documentary SANS FRAPPER (2019), tackled the theme of rape and was selected for over 80 international festivals. It received the Jury Prize for Most Innovative Feature Film in the International Competition at the Visions du Réel festival, the Best Feature Film award at Festival Dei Popoli among others. Her medium-length fiction PALMA (2020) was also screened at numerous festivals.
