Vienna: Viennale - JLG Lifetime Achievement

Switzerland invites Europe. This year, Lucerne is host to the European Film Awards. Throughout the year, SWISS FILMS, in collaboration with Film Festivals in Europe will propose a focus on Swiss Films that have been nominated and/or a winner of the European Film Award. 

VIENNALE has choosen to honour the late Jean-Luc Godard by screening ADIEU AU LANGAGE as well as the last two shortfilms presented last May in Cannes, SCENARIO and EXPOSE DU FILM ANNONCE DU FILM „SCÉNARIO“. Jean-Luc Godard was awarded a LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD by the European Film Academy back in 2007.

Fabrice Aragno, Godard's principal collaborator in his final era of artmaking, will be travelling to Vienna to introduce the films and participate in a talk around Godard's Work.
