Tbilisi: International Film Festival

Switzerland invites Europe. This year, Lucerne is host to the European Film Awards. Throughout the year, SWISS FILMS, in collaboration with Film Festivals in Europe will propose a focus on Swiss Films that have been nominated and/or a winner of the European Film Award. 

Tbilisi International Film Festival will close our TOUR D'EUROPE, that started back in April at the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS). Three films will be presented to the Georgian Audience. L'AMOUR DU MONDE, by Jenna Hasse, nominated in 2023 for the Young Audience Award, THOSE WHO ARE FINE/DENE WOS GUET GEIT, by Cyril Schäublin, nominated in 2018 for Best European Discovery / Fipresci Prize, and last but not least, DANS LA VILLE BLANCHE, by Alain Tanner, with great swiss actor BRUNO GANZ, who was awarded a EUROPEAN LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT in 2010! A great way to close that Tour D'Europe, by one of the great actor, who has largely contributed to European Cinema, working with Angelopoulos, Von Trier, Berger, Hirschbiegel, Wenders, Schlöndorff and Herzog, amongst others.

Two more swiss films complete the Swiss Presence in Tbilisi, both screened in the European Forum Section: DER SPATZ IM KAMIN, by Ramon Zürcher, and THE SHAMELESS by Konstantin Bojanov.

Jenna Hasse will travel to Tbilisi to introduce her film and be part of the International Jury for Feature Films.
