Rio de Janeiro: Foco Suiço

A great number of new Swiss films is selected for the International Festival do Rio is with no more than 10 Swiss films or coproductions screening in various sections of the festival.

With the support of SWISS FILMS, directors Georges Gachot and Basil Da Cunha will travel to Brazil to present their films - MISTY and MANGA D'TERRA - and participate in the RioMarket, the industry section of the festival. The Swiss Oscar submission REINAS will be presented in attendance of director Klaudia Reynicke as Latin American premiere.

Pia Marais, the director of the coproduction TRANSAMAZONIA and Eliana Rosa, actress of MANGA D’TERRA are invited as participants of the programme EUROPE! Voices of Women+ in Film, a collaboration of European Film Promotion with Festival do Rio and the Sydney Film Festival.
