Born in 1978, Sophie Ballmer is an Swiss artist and filmmaker. In 2004 she completed a Bachelor's degree and in 2013 the Master's degree in visual arts at the ECAL (Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne). In 2015 she co-founded the art space Tunnel Tunnel in Lausanne, which she has been co-directing ever since. In 2023 she directed her first documentary LA MAISON.
