Adrian Illien
Screenwriter, Creator
Born 1982 in Switzerland. After having completed his studies in International Affairs at the University of St. Gallen, Adrian worked as a junior producer for teamWorx Television & Film GmbH (UFA Fiction) in Munich from 2008 to 2011. He then joined Bavaria Fiction as a staff writer for of a daily series. In 2013 he returned to Switzerland.
As a network producer for the Swiss public broadcaster SRF he was responsible for TV films (e.g. "Tatort") and series. He headed the writer’s room of the crime series THE UNDERTAKER, that also aired on Netflix. For the last season Adrian was the head writer. The TV film TORN, which he conceived, was awarded "Best Teleplay" at the Baden-Baden TV Film Festival 2017.
In early 2019 he has left the network in order to work as independent writer/producer.
