Sein erster «Olowe» war eine Fälschung, aber da hatte sich der Kunsthändler Jean David bereits in die Kunst des Yoruba-Schnitzers Olowe von Ise (1875-1938) verliebt – und musse unbeding ein echtes Kunstwerk haben. Aber kann man in der afrikanischen Kunst überhaupt von «echter» und «falscher» Kunst reden? David lädt uns auf eine Reise in eine unbekannte Welt ein, voller Schönheit und Widersprüche.
